NOVEMBER EVENTS AT THE LIBRARY
It's time to "Fall" Into Reading at the Summit County Library! We've created 16 fall-related activities the whole family can enjoy. Complete activities on your bingo card and earn tickets to enter in prize drawings. The challenge ends November 30—get started today!

Kimball Junction | 1st Fridays | 6 pm
Join film critics Destiny Grose and Rick Brough as they revisit "lost gems" from previous Sundance Film Festivals. All film screenings are free and seats will be on a first come, first served basis.

Tuesday, November 11
All Summit County Library branches will be closed on Tuesday, November 11 for Veterans Day. Regular hours will resume on Wednesday, November 12.

Join us for an afternoon filled with fun and service. Meet Miss Summit County Teen Volunteer 2025, create a Thanksgiving craft, decorate a holiday card for a local senior and frost a yummy cookie! Please bring a donation for the Coalville Food Pantry. They are especially in need of canned vegetables/fruit, turkey gravy, instant mashed potatoes, nuts, rice, beans, canned meat/fish, cooking oil and whole grain cereal. This event is co-sponsored by the Summit County Health Department and NS Unite.

Emerging Issues is an adult discussion program that includes pre-readings, viewing a video together in class then breaking into small discussion groups. The topic for November will be The Imperial Presidency. Registration will open on Monday, 11/3 at 10 am.
Jim Santy Auditorium | Wed, November 19 | 7 pm | All Ages
A 2025 Sundance Film Festival premiere. The Librarians offers a rattling look at coordinated efforts to ban books. More importantly, it introduces viewers to the everyday and increasingly vital heroes pushing back: the librarians who sound the alarm to both legislative and grassroots attempts to pull books from school and public libraries. Tickets are free and can be reserved here.
Post-film panel with Rebekah Cummings, Digital Matters Director at the University of Utah, former Utah Library Association President and co-founder of Let Utah Read and Heidi Matthews, Library Media Teacher/Librarian, Park City School District and Past President of the Utah Education Association. Leslie Thatcher, Host of the Local News Hour on KPCW, will moderate.
All Summit County Library branches will close at 3 pm on Wednesday, November 26, and remain closed through Friday, November 28, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Normal hours will resume on Saturday, November 29.
